BCI Meeting 2010

IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE ASILOMAR BCI MEETING

May 21, 2010

Dear Student BCI Researcher,

The National Science Foundation recently contacted us with the good news that they will sponsor a special student colloquium on BCI topics on Monday, May 31, between 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM, immediately prior to the Fourth International BCI Meeting opening reception

This BCI Colloquium will include a series of four lectures by experts in the field of BCI research. The four speakers will then take questions during the last hour. Dr. Nancy L. Shinowara, of the National Institutes of Health, will join the speakers to answer any questions about funding mechanisms and other opportunities. This faculty will then be available throughout the meeting to answer questions on an ad hoc basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to get exposure to key topics in BCI research, to meet other students, and to allow everyone to start the meeting better prepared.

To this end, we will provide all students who attend this pre-meeting colloquium with a $300 stipend, which can be used to defray their registration and housing costs at Asilomar or their travel expenses. To be eligible for this stipend, a student must attend the colloquium.

The colloquium schedule for Monday, May 31 is:
